Mile High Lab Mission Log Redesign

The Mile High Labrador Retriever Mission (MHLRM) is a Colorado-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Labs and Lab mixes from overcrowded shelters across the country. I partnered with the organization to refresh their visual identity and create a logo that better reflects both their Colorado roots and their heart-led mission.

The previous logo, while beloved, included multiple detailed elements that made it difficult to reproduce consistently across digital and print materials—especially on merchandise and social media. The typography felt dated, and the mark didn’t scale well at smaller sizes, limiting its visibility and impact.

My goal was to modernize the logo while keeping its warmth and familiarity. I simplified the design to a clean, memorable mark that highlights the Labrador’s friendly silhouette and integrates subtle nods to the Colorado landscape. The typography was updated to a bold, approachable sans-serif for improved readability and balance. The refreshed palette draws from natural tones sky blues, warm browns, and soft neutrals—to convey trust, approachability, and connection to the outdoors.
